The cut decides how a goalkeeper glove fits your hand: snug like a second skin, or comfortable with more room. These are N1's seven cuts, with approximate ratings for fit, feel, contact surface and comfort.

The Negative cut has the seams on the inside of the glove. That way the latex fits your hand like a second skin, with no slack, giving direct contact with the ball and very high finger feel in every action.
Its snug fit delivers an instant response on saves and turns the glove into an extension of your hand. It's the cut of choice for technically refined goalkeepers who prioritize control, precision and reading the game.
Maximum fit and a firm hold on the hand
A true second-skin feel
Direct, constant contact with the ball
High finger feel
Instant response on saves and catches
Ideal for: Technically refined goalkeepers with narrow hands or long fingers
The Vapor Negative is the evolution of the classic Negative cut: inner seams and an even more anatomical pattern for an ultra-snug, technical fit, direct contact with the ball and maximum feel.
It features latex-wrapped fingers (Wrap Grip™): the palm latex wraps around the fingertips, extending the contact surface and boosting control, security and precision when it matters most.
Ultra-snug, anatomical fit
A true second-skin feel
Direct, continuous contact with the ball
Maximum feel and instant response
More fingertip control thanks to Wrap Grip™
Ideal for: Technical goalkeepers who want maximum control and precision
The Hybrid Roll-Negative cut combines the best of the Negative and the Roll Finger. The middle and ring fingers have a Negative cut, with inner seams that ensure a precise fit, high feel and a second-skin sensation.
The index and little fingers use Roll Finger: the latex wraps around the finger and extends the contact surface with the ball. The result is more stability on impact, better cushioning and more secure saves without losing the overall technical fit.
Firm, precise fit with a second-skin feel
High feel in the middle fingers
More contact surface on the outer fingers
Effective cushioning and more stability on impact
A balance of control and security
Ideal for: Most goalkeepers: precision and confidence in high-intensity actions
In the Roll Finger cut, the latex fully wraps the fingers and creates a continuous contact surface with the ball. This build greatly increases the exposed latex and prioritizes security, cushioning and stability.
The fingers are fully rolled in latex, giving a more structured, robust glove. Because the latex works under less tension than in snug cuts, impact is absorbed progressively and the touch is softer, in exchange for slightly less feel than a Negative.
Fingers fully wrapped in latex
Maximum contact surface with the ball
High cushioning and better-controlled impact
A structured, robust glove feel
Security and stability on catches
Ideal for: Goalkeepers who prioritize security, protection and a structured glove
The Ergo-Roll is the evolution of the Roll Finger, designed to better match the shape of your hand without giving up the security and cushioning of structured cuts.
The base of the fingers is Flat: more comfortable and less bulky. The tips are wrapped in latex, as in the Roll Finger. The result is a large rounded surface that hugs the ball, with a more natural fit than a traditional Roll Finger.
Effective cushioning
More ergonomic fit and less bulk
More control on catches
Structured yet natural on the hand
Ideal for: Goalkeepers who want protection and contact with a more anatomical fit
The Hybrid Roll-Flat cut combines the Flat and the Roll Finger to balance comfort, contact surface and grip security, designed for goalkeepers who prefer a roomier, more stable fit.
The middle and ring fingers have a Flat cut, with outer seams: more exposed latex, less tension and a more relaxed fit. The index and little fingers use Roll Finger, with the latex wrapping the finger for constant contact with the ball and more stability on catches and firm saves.
Larger contact surface with the ball
More comfortable, less snug fit
Good impact absorption
Structured yet comfortable
Ideal for: Wide hands and goalkeepers who prioritize comfort and security
The Flat cut is the classic goalkeeper glove cut, with a great balance of comfort, contact surface and durability. The palm is flat with the seams on the outside, so the latex works under less tension on impact, lasts longer and offers a soft, predictable touch.
It has latex between the fingers for a continuous grip surface; on some versions that area is breathable mesh for better ventilation. With more room inside the fingers, the fit is more relaxed, with no feeling of compression.
Long-lasting comfort
Wide contact surface with the ball
Less tension and longer latex life
Better ventilation on mesh versions
Classic, stable grip

QuestionsFAQ
What is a Negative cut on a goalkeeper glove?
It's a cut with the seams on the inside of the glove: the latex fits your hand like a second skin, giving maximum contact with the ball and finger feel.
What's the difference between Negative and Vapor Negative?
The Vapor Negative is the evolution of the Negative: a more anatomical pattern and latex that wraps the fingertips (Wrap Grip™) for more contact surface and control.
Which cut is best for wide hands?
The cuts with more room inside: Hybrid Roll-Flat and Flat. If you want some precision, the Hybrid Roll-Negative is a good middle ground.
What is a Roll Finger glove?
A glove where the latex fully wraps the fingers. It gives maximum contact surface and cushioning, with a more structured glove and slightly less feel.
Does the cut affect sizing?
With snug cuts (Negative, Vapor Negative), if you're between two sizes, choose the larger one. Check the size guide.
